Paso Doble (meaning “double step” in Spanish) is a fast-paced dance characterized by its dramatic and energetic movements, inspired by the drama of a Spanish bullfight. The lead often embodies the matador, with movements that mimic a matador calling to the bull, while the partner, as the follower, mirrors or responds to the leader’s signals—much like the cape in a bullfight—creating a captivating story through movement.
